In school we're going to work in groups to researche the history of Bremerhaven.
The largest number of automobiles and the freshest fruits are transshipped here, goods ranging from coffee and beer to the most impressive heavy goods are im- and exported here, the most specialized ship yards are located here, and last but not least here you will find the longest river quay in the world!
You will experience the Seaside City from its most fascinating side, then only with the HarborBus can you experience the hustle and bustle of the large harbor and ship yard operations right up close. Through the totally restricted areas of the Overseas Harbor, right next to luxurious cruise ships and the ocean giants, which travel the world's oceans – amazing!
We will go to the "Seute Deern". The ship has a restaurant where we have our lunch.
On Tuesday we will explore the story of the maritime city Bremerhaven. It is presented in six different exhibitions:
- Bremerhaven and environment between 1827 - 1927
- Bremerhaven and environment between 1920 – 1960
- sea fishing and fish industry
- over sea harbor and harbor work
- dockyard and ship construction
- treasuries of the “Weser-Elbe- Dreieck”
Now you get to know how we're working and wherer!
